Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until it sizzles, about 2 minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour over the melted butter, whisking constantly to combine.
- Cook for about 2 minutes until light golden brown.
- Gradually add 3 cups of warm milk, whisking vigorously to break up any clumps.
- Continue whisking until thickened, about 3 minutes.
- Adjust consistency by adding 1 cup of milk for a thinner gravy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
