This Gluten-Free Vegan Chocolate Orange Tart features rich chocolate and fresh orange juice in a buttery gluten-free crust.

- 2 cups Gluten-free flour
- 0.5 cups Caster sugar
- 0.5 cups Cold dairy-free butter (for a vegan option)
- 1 tablespoon Water (adjust as needed)
- 1 can Full-fat canned coconut milk
- 200 grams Dark chocolate (choose good quality)
- 0.25 cups Maple syrup
- 0.5 cups Orange juice (freshly squeezed)
- 2 each Zest of oranges (for flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180C/160C fan/350F.
- Grease the pie tin with a little butter.
- Mix the flour and sugar in a bowl, then add the cold butter and work it into the mixture until it resembles breadcrumbs.
- Incorporate enough water to form a soft, slightly sticky ball of dough.
- Press the dough into the pie tin, prick with a fork, and bake for 15 minutes. Let cool slightly.
- Heat all filling ingredients in a saucepan over low-medium heat until melted and smooth.
- Pour the filling into the baked pastry base and let cool at room temperature before refrigerating for 4-5 hours.
- Decorate your tart to your liking and serve. Store remaining slices in an airtight container.
