Delicious Whole Black Bass with Ginger and Scallions Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole Whole Black Bass (Choose a fresh one as the centerpiece dish.)
  • 1 tsp Salt (Essential for seasoning; sea salt is recommended.)
  • 2 inches Ginger (Fresh ginger, thinly sliced to enhance flavor.)
  • 3 stalks Scallions (Use the vibrant green parts for best presentation.)
  • 1 cup Water (Needed for the steaming process.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Clean the whole black bass by gutting it and rinsing it under cold water.
  3. Place the fish on an oven-safe plate or dish.
  4. Sprinkle salt generously over the fish and stuff the cavity with ginger and scallions.
  5. Pour enough water into a baking dish to create steam, then set your plate with the fish on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes.
  7. Remove the dish from the oven and let the fish rest briefly before serving.
