  • 1/2 cup maple syrup (Honey or agave syrup can be used for a different sweetness profile.)
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (Use refined coconut oil to avoid strong coconut flavor.)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (Almond extract can be used for a different flavor.)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (Opt for dairy-free chocolate for a fully vegan version.)
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt (Optional but recommended for a salty finish.)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together almond flour, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
  2. Gently fold in chocolate chips into the mixture.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Press the mixture evenly into the lined sheet, creating a smooth layer about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Melt the remaining chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second increments until smooth.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate over the pressed cookie dough mixture for an even coat.
  6. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top if desired. Freeze for at least 1 hour.
  7. Once solidified, break the bark into pieces and serve.
