Hearty Tater Tot Casserole with Ground Beef for Family Fun

- 1 pound Ground Beef (Lean ground beef recommended)
- 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup (Other cream soups can be used)
- 1 cup Sour Cream (Can substitute with Greek yogurt)
- 1 medium Onion (Diced)
- 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese (Can use Monterey Jack or pepper jack)
- 1 bag Frozen Tater Tots (Homemade tater tots can be used)
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes
- Sauté diced onion in the skillet for 3-4 minutes
- Combine cream of mushroom soup and sour cream in the skillet
- Layer the beef mixture in a greased casserole dish
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer
- Arrange frozen tater tots on top
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until crispy
- Add remaining cup of cheddar cheese and bake for another 5 minutes
- Cool for about 5 minutes before serving
