Description

Delicious Spicy Garlic Shrimp Noodles: Quick & Flavorful Dinner

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces Linguine or Spaghetti (Substitute for gluten-free pasta if preferred.)
  • 1 pound Large Shrimp (Peeled and deveined.)
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (For a rich and creamy sauce.)
  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Prevents butter from burning.)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (Minced, adjust to taste.)
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (Customize based on spice tolerance.)
  • 1 cup Dry White Wine or Chicken Broth (For deglazing; vegetable broth is an option for non-alcoholic.)
  • 1 whole Fresh Lemon (Juiced and zested.)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (Chopped, for garnish.)
  • 1.5 cups Reserved Pasta Water (For achieving silky sauce.)
  • to taste Salt & Black Pepper (To enhance overall flavor.)
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese (Optional topping.)

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water, add linguine or spaghetti, and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1.5 cups of pasta water before draining.
  2. Pat the large shrimp dry with a paper towel and season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, melt unsalted butter with extra virgin olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until pink and curled. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
  5. Deglaze the skillet with dry white wine or chicken broth, scraping up brown bits. Simmer for about 3-5 minutes until the liquid reduces by half.
  6. Stir in fresh lemon juice and reserved pasta water. Whisk for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is glossy and creamy.
  7. Return the pasta and shrimp to the skillet, tossing with chopped parsley and lemon zest. Adjust sauce thickness with more reserved pasta water if needed.
  8. Optional: Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
