A fresh and lightened-up take on the classic margarita, this skinny margarita recipe skips the sugary mixers and uses fresh lime juice for a crisp, refreshing cocktail perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4 limes)
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (about 1 orange)
- 1/3 cup silver (blanco) tequila
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec)
- 2 tablespoons agave nectar or honey, to taste
- 1/2 cup cold water
- Ice cubes, as needed
- Coarse salt and lime wedges for garnish
Instructions
- Juice the limes and orange, and strain to remove pulp if desired.
- In a large pitcher, combine the lime juice, orange juice, tequila, orange liqueur, agave nectar, and cold water.
- Stir well to blend all ingredients. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more agave nectar if desired.
- Run a lime wedge around the rims of 4 glasses and dip each rim in coarse salt.
- Fill glasses with ice. Pour margarita mixture over the ice, garnish with lime wedges, and serve immediately.
