Description
Authentic Mexican-style street tacos made with tender, flavorful pulled pork carnitas, served on warm corn tortillas and topped with fresh garnishes. Perfect for dinner or parties.

- 3 lbs pork shoulder, boneless
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 orange, juiced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 16 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup chopped white onion, for garnish
- 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish
- 2 limes, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Season the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, cumin, and oregano on all sides.
- Place the pork, onion, garlic, orange juice, and chicken broth in a large Dutch oven or slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 2.5 hours, or until the pork is very tender and easily shreds.
- Remove the pork and shred with two forks. Return to the pot and toss with some of the cooking juices.
- Heat the corn tortillas on a skillet until warm and pliable.
- Assemble tacos by topping each tortilla with pulled pork, chopped onion, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
