- 1.16 lbs ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
- 3 cups cold water or sparkling water
- Optional: lemon slices, peach slices, fresh mint, ice cubes
Instructions
- Combine chopped peaches, sugar, and 2 cups of water in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5–10 minutes until peaches soften.
- Remove from heat and let cool for 30 minutes.
- Strain through a fine mesh sieve to create peach syrup.
- In a pitcher, mix 1 cup peach syrup with lemon juice and 3 cups water or sparkling water.
- Stir well. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
- Serve over ice with optional garnishes.
Notes
- Peach syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- Mixed peach lemonade stays fresh for 5–7 days in the fridge.
- Leftover lemonade can be frozen into popsicles.
- Repurpose leftover peach pulp into smoothies, baked goods, or jam.
