Instructions
- Butter one side of each slice of rye bread.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef with pepper, salt, and onion powder. Shape into three patties.
- Cook patties in a preheated nonstick skillet over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through (160°F internal temp).
- Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, bacon bits, and relish in a bowl to create the sauce.
- Assemble sandwiches: place buttered bread in the skillet, layer with cheese, patty, and more cheese; top with another slice of buttered bread.
- Grill until golden brown on both sides and cheese is melted.
