Description

Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles is a quick and easy dish that combines savory ground beef with a rich, flavorful sauce, served over linguine. It’s perfect for a weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 10 oz linguine
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 4 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add minced garlic to the beef and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well.
  5. Mix cornstarch with cold water until smooth. Stir into the skillet. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add cooked linguine to the skillet. Toss until noodles are coated. Simmer for a few minutes.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the spiciness.
  • You can substitute spaghetti for linguine.
  • For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar.
