- 1 cup Milk/Cream
- 2 leaves Bay Leaves
- 1 tbsp Oregano
- 1 tbsp Thyme
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Sauté chopped onion, carrots, and celery until softened (5-7 minutes).
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Incorporate ground beef and pork, browning until no longer pink (8-10 minutes).
- Deglaze with red wine, simmering for 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add crushed tomatoes and milk/cream to combine.
- Season with bay leaves, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and simmer on low heat for at least 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Adjust seasonings, remove bay leaves, and serve hot.
