Description

A quick and delicious Honey Garlic Steak & Shrimp recipe perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank)
  • 1 pound Large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter or oil
  • 2 cups Yellow rice
  • to taste Salt & pepper
  • optional Chopped parsley or green onions

Instructions

  1. Season your sliced steak generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add butter or oil. Sear the steak for about 2-3 minutes until browned and slightly pink inside, then set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in the honey and soy sauce, letting it simmer for about 2 minutes.
  5. Return the cooked steak to the skillet, tossing it to coat in the sauce. Add the shrimp and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Prepare the yellow rice according to package instructions.
  7. Plate the yellow rice and top with the honey garlic steak and shrimp. Drizzle any remaining sauce and finish with chopped parsley or green onions.

Notes

  • Substitutes: Chicken for steak, scallops for shrimp, maple syrup or agave for honey, tamari or coconut aminos for soy sauce.
  • Use oil for a lighter dish.
  • Garlic powder can be used instead of fresh garlic.
