A quick and delicious Honey Garlic Steak & Shrimp recipe perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients

- 1 pound Steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank)
- 1 pound Large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce
- 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons Butter or oil
- 2 cups Yellow rice
- to taste Salt & pepper
- optional Chopped parsley or green onions
Instructions
- Season your sliced steak generously with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add butter or oil. Sear the steak for about 2-3 minutes until browned and slightly pink inside, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Stir in the honey and soy sauce, letting it simmer for about 2 minutes.
- Return the cooked steak to the skillet, tossing it to coat in the sauce. Add the shrimp and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Prepare the yellow rice according to package instructions.
- Plate the yellow rice and top with the honey garlic steak and shrimp. Drizzle any remaining sauce and finish with chopped parsley or green onions.
Notes
- Substitutes: Chicken for steak, scallops for shrimp, maple syrup or agave for honey, tamari or coconut aminos for soy sauce.
- Use oil for a lighter dish.
- Garlic powder can be used instead of fresh garlic.
