Healthy Oatmeal Apple Cake Guilt Free Dessert Recipe

- 1 large apple, peeled and chopped
- 3 tablespoons honey

- 2 large eggs

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan, or line with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, ground cinnamon, baking soda, and baking powder until well combined.
- In a separate medium-sized bowl, whisk together the honey, vanilla extract, plain yogurt, large eggs, and melted unsalted butter or coconut oil until the mixture is smooth and emulsified.
- Pour the wet ingredient mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a spatula until just combined, being careful not to overmix. Fold in the peeled and chopped apple pieces, distributing them evenly throughout the batter.
- Carefully scoop the thick batter into your prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for approximately 35-45 minutes (for a 9×13 pan), or until the edges are lightly golden and a wooden skewer or toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and place the pan on a wire cooling rack. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes before carefully transferring it directly to the wire rack to cool completely. Allowing it to cool completely before slicing ensures the best texture. Serve warm or at room temperature.
