Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium white or yellow onion
- 1/4 cup flat-leaf parsley
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon baharat spice mix
- 1 optional chili pepper
- 4 pieces pita breads
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, minced onion, parsley, garlic, kosher salt, black pepper, and baharat spice mix. Add chopped chili if desired.
- Slice pita breads in half to form pockets. Gently open them without tearing the edges.
- Stuff each pita pocket with the spiced beef mixture, pressing it evenly inside.
- Preheat a skillet or grill over medium heat. Cook each stuffed pita for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
- Remove from heat and let them cool slightly before serving.
