- 2 pounds dried Great Northern beans, sorted and rinsed
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 carrots, chopped
- 4 celery stalks, chopped
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the rinsed Great Northern beans in your crockpot.
- Add the cubed ham, chopped onion, carrots, and celery to the crockpot.
- Stir in the minced garlic, chicken broth, bay leaves, thyme, and rosemary.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the beans are tender and the flavors have melded.
- Remove the bay leaves. Season the crockpot white bean ham soup with salt and pepper to your liking.
