Description

Crispy Cordon Bleu Bites are cheesy delights perfect for snacking. They are air-fried for a guilt-free indulgence.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Chicken (Turkey can be a leaner alternative.)
  • 1/2 cup Smoked Ham (Can be replaced with prosciutto.)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder (Fresh minced garlic works well too.)
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder (Finely chopped fresh onions can be used.)
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika (Regular paprika can be used if preferred.)
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme (Fresh thyme can be substituted.)
  • 1 tsp Salt (Use according to taste.)
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper (Use according to taste.)
  • 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard (Yellow mustard can be used as a substitute.)
  • 1 Large Egg (Flax egg can be used for vegan option.)
  • 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs (Regular breadcrumbs can be used.)
  • as needed Cooking Spray (Generous use for best results.)
  • 4 oz Swiss Cheese (Mozzarella or cheddar can be used.)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, smoked ham, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, Dijon mustard, and eggs. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
  2. Gradually add Panko bread crumbs to the mixture and gently fold until it holds together.
  3. Scoop portions of the mixture and encase a cube of Swiss cheese inside, shaping them into 2-inch balls.
  4. Optionally, roll each ball in more Panko bread crumbs for extra crispiness.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.
  6. Arrange the bites in the air fryer basket, spray lightly with cooking spray, and air fry for 10-12 minutes. Flip halfway through.
  7. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
