- 1 can Condensed Milk (Opt for dairy-free condensed milk for a vegan version.)
- 1 teaspoon Peppermint Flavoring (Peppermint extract can be used as a substitute.)
- 2 tablespoons Water (Add as needed for the perfect texture.)
- 200 grams Dark Chocolate (Choose dairy-free chocolate to keep this treat vegan-friendly.)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the icing sugar, condensed milk, peppermint flavoring, and 2 tablespoons of water. Stir until a stiff paste forms, adjusting with more water or icing sugar as needed.
- Dust your work surface and rolling pin with icing sugar. Roll out the peppermint paste to about 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) thick.
- Use a 4 cm diameter cutter to stamp out 24 rounds. Place them on a parchment-lined tray and allow them to dry slightly for around 30 minutes.
- In a heat-proof bowl over simmering water, gently melt the dark chocolate, stirring until smooth and glossy. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Fill a piping bag with the melted chocolate. Pipe it over the peppermint rounds in a zig-zag pattern.
- Place the decorated rounds in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
