Ingredients

  • 2 cups Icing Sugar (Feel free to use powdered erythritol for a low-calorie alternative.)
  • 1 can Condensed Milk (Opt for dairy-free condensed milk for a vegan version.)
  • 1 teaspoon Peppermint Flavoring (Peppermint extract can be used as a substitute.)
  • 2 tablespoons Water (Add as needed for the perfect texture.)
  • 200 grams Dark Chocolate (Choose dairy-free chocolate to keep this treat vegan-friendly.)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, mix the icing sugar, condensed milk, peppermint flavoring, and 2 tablespoons of water. Stir until a stiff paste forms, adjusting with more water or icing sugar as needed.
  2. Dust your work surface and rolling pin with icing sugar. Roll out the peppermint paste to about 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) thick.
  3. Use a 4 cm diameter cutter to stamp out 24 rounds. Place them on a parchment-lined tray and allow them to dry slightly for around 30 minutes.
  4. In a heat-proof bowl over simmering water, gently melt the dark chocolate, stirring until smooth and glossy. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. Fill a piping bag with the melted chocolate. Pipe it over the peppermint rounds in a zig-zag pattern.
  6. Place the decorated rounds in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
