Instructions
- Caramelize onions: Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add sliced onions and brown sugar. Cook for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and jammy, stirring occasionally.
- Prepare burger meat: In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Make aioli: Blend caramelized onions with mayonnaise, sour cream, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Refrigerate until serving.
- Prep vegetables: Wash and chop mixed greens, dice tomatoes and cucumber, and thinly slice red onion.
- Cook beef: Heat olive oil in the skillet over medium-high heat. Add seasoned beef and cook for 8-10 minutes until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
- Assemble bowls: Layer lettuce in bowls. Top with cooked beef, tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. Drizzle generously with the caramelized onion aioli and sprinkle with chives.

- Aioli can be made up to three days in advance.
