Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey (93% lean recommended)
  • 3/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • For the Meatloaf Glaze:
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let the mixture soak for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add ground turkey, onion, garlic, eggs, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Transfer the turkey mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a loaf about 8×4 inches, or use a loaf pan. Smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes.
  6. While the loaf bakes, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar for the glaze.
  7. Remove the meatloaf, spread the glaze evenly on top, and return to the oven for another 20-25 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Letting the meatloaf rest after baking is key for perfect slices.
  • You can prepare the mixture up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerate before baking.
