- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
- For the garlic yogurt sauce:
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, paprika, coriander, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Shape the mixture into small oval or round koftas (about 8-10 pieces). You can also shape them onto skewers if preferred.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook the koftas for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
- While the koftas are cooking, prepare the garlic yogurt sauce by combining the yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt in a bowl.
- Mix well.
- Once the koftas are cooked, serve them hot with a drizzle of the garlic yogurt sauce.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, grill the koftas over medium heat.
