Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 2 cups lukewarm milk
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, powdered sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Gradually add flour and milk, mixing until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; gently fold into the batter.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40-50 minutes until golden.
  6. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
