Delicious Turkish Chicken with Creamy White Sauce in 30 Minutes


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken Breasts (or turkey/firm tofu as alternatives)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil (or vegetable oil if needed)
  • 1 piece Onion (or shallots for milder flavor)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (or garlic powder in a pinch)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream (or half-and-half/coconut milk as lighter substitutes)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika (smoked paprika for added depth)
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin (or coriander as a mild substitute)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions

  1. Warm 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat until it shimmers gently.
  2. Add 1 finely chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves to the pan. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, or until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.
  3. Generously season the chicken breasts with paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, stirring gently. Reduce the heat to simmer for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Before serving, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top.
