Description

A simple and delicious Sausage Egg Breakfast Roll recipe, perfect for busy mornings. These roll-ups feature flaky pastry, savory sausage, and fluffy scrambled eggs, offering a customizable and satisfying breakfast for the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 4 slices cheese (cheddar, American, or your favorite), cut in half

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
  3. While the sausage is cooking, whisk the eggs and milk in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet with the cooked sausage. Cook, stirring gently, until the eggs are set but still moist.
  5. Unroll the crescent rolls and separate them into triangles.
  6. Press each triangle slightly to form a rectangle.
  7. Place a portion of the sausage and egg mixture onto the wider end of each crescent roll triangle.
  8. Add a piece of cheese on top of the sausage and egg mixture.
  9. Roll up each triangle tightly from the wide end to the point to create your sausage egg breakfast roll.
  10. Place the sausage egg breakfast rolls seam-side down on an ungreased baking sheet.
  11. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  12. Serve your homemade sausage egg breakfast roll warm.

Notes

  • You can add chopped vegetables like bell peppers or onions to the sausage and egg mixture.
  • Experiment with different types of cheese for varied flavors in your sausage egg breakfast sandwich.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sausage.
  • These sausage egg breakfast rolls can be made ahead and reheated for a quick breakfast.
