Description

Irresistible Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies combine chewy chocolate and crunchy caramel for a timeless, delightful treat. This easy, one-bowl recipe offers a nostalgic aroma and a perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Real Vanilla Extract
  • 2 large Large Eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate, coarsely chopped or chips
  • 1/2 cup Hard Caramel, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt Flakes, optional for topping

Instructions

  1. Make hard caramel using a stovetop method. Let it cool completely before chopping into small pieces.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In an electric mixer, cream together the packed light brown sugar, granulated sugar, unsalted butter, and real vanilla extract until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Incorporate the large eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  5. Add the baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  6. Slowly add the all-purpose flour until fully combined, then fold in the dark chocolate and caramel pieces.
  7. Use a cookie scoop to portion out 2-tablespoon balls of dough on the lined cookie sheet, spacing evenly.
  8. Bake for about 11 minutes.
  9. As soon as they come out of the oven, sprinkle with sea salt flakes, if using.
