Description

An easy ravioli lasagna bake is a quick and delicious twist on classic lasagna. It layers frozen ravioli, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and mozzarella for an effortless family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 (25 oz) bag frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil (optional)
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Spread 1/2 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Arrange half of the frozen cheese ravioli in a single layer over the sauce. Top with half of the remaining marinara sauce, dollop with ricotta cheese, and sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella cheese.
  4. Repeat layers with the remaining ravioli, marinara sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle the top with grated Parmesan and dried Italian seasoning.
  5. Cover dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh basil, if desired.

Notes

  • No need to thaw the ravioli—just layer them in straight from the freezer.
  • For even cheesier layers, stir some shredded mozzarella into the ricotta.
  • Try using your favorite store-bought marinara for even more flavor.
  • Let the bake sit 10-15 minutes after baking so it slices cleanly.
