Delight in Homemade Meringue Wreath Cookies This Holiday Season


Ingredients

  • 3 large Egg whites (At room temperature)
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar (Add gradually)
  • 1 teaspoon Cream of tartar
  • 1 cup Christmas sprinkles (Use different colors as desired)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 230°F.
  2. Prepare baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
  3. Whip the egg whites using an electric mixer until frothy and soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time.
  5. Mix on high speed for another minute until sugar is dissolved.
  6. Incorporate the cream of tartar and mix well.
  7. Continue whipping until stiff peaks form, about 4-5 minutes.
  8. Add green food coloring to achieve desired shade.
  9. Pipe the meringue into circular wreath shapes on the prepared sheets.
  10. Sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles and additional decorations.
  11. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  12. Turn off the oven and leave meringues inside for another hour.
  13. Store in an airtight container or zip-top bag.
