Description

Crescent Roll Cheesecake Bars are an easy and delightful dessert that impresses everyone. Perfect for potlucks, brunches, or a sweet treat at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for crust)
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk (whole or 2% recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional garnish)
  • Fresh berries (optional garnish)
  • Chocolate sauce or caramel sauce (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by spraying with non-stick spray or lining with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll one can of crescent roll dough. Lay the triangles flat in the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pressing the seams together.
  3. Melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in a small bowl. Pour the melted butter over the first layer of crescent dough. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of granulated sugar over the butter.
  4. Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough. Lay these triangles over the butter and sugar mixture, pressing the seams together.
  5. Ensure your cream cheese is softened. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  6. Gradually add 1 cup of granulated sugar to the cream cheese, beating until creamy. Add 1 large egg and mix until just combined.
  7. Pour in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/4 cup of milk. Beat on low until smooth.
  8. Pour the cheesecake filling over the top layer of crescent dough, spreading evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  9. The bars are done when the edges are golden and the filling is set with a slight jiggle in the center.
  10. Cool the bars at room temperature for 30-60 minutes. Chill in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours or overnight.
  11. Once chilled, lift the slab onto a cutting board or cut directly in the pan. Cut into 12-16 bars. Optionally dust with powdered sugar, add berries, or drizzle with sauce before serving.
  12. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

Notes
