Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for crust)
- 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk (whole or 2% recommended)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional garnish)
- Fresh berries (optional garnish)
- Chocolate sauce or caramel sauce (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by spraying with non-stick spray or lining with parchment paper.
- Unroll one can of crescent roll dough. Lay the triangles flat in the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pressing the seams together.
- Melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in a small bowl. Pour the melted butter over the first layer of crescent dough. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of granulated sugar over the butter.
- Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough. Lay these triangles over the butter and sugar mixture, pressing the seams together.
- Ensure your cream cheese is softened. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Gradually add 1 cup of granulated sugar to the cream cheese, beating until creamy. Add 1 large egg and mix until just combined.
- Pour in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/4 cup of milk. Beat on low until smooth.
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the top layer of crescent dough, spreading evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
- The bars are done when the edges are golden and the filling is set with a slight jiggle in the center.
- Cool the bars at room temperature for 30-60 minutes. Chill in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours or overnight.
- Once chilled, lift the slab onto a cutting board or cut directly in the pan. Cut into 12-16 bars. Optionally dust with powdered sugar, add berries, or drizzle with sauce before serving.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
Notes
- For best results, chill overnight.
- Use fresh berries for garnish to enhance presentation.
