Description

A simple and comforting casserole with ground beef, mushrooms, and a creamy cream cheese base. It’s a protein-packed, low-carb dish that’s easy to customize and perfect for a family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 5 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Shredded cheddar, mozzarella, or Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a casserole dish.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  3. In a food processor, blend softened cream cheese with eggs until smooth.
  4. Mix the cream cheese blend into the browned beef.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms. Add garlic if desired. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley.
  6. Spread the beef-cream mixture into the casserole dish. Top with sautéed mushrooms.
  7. If desired, add a layer of shredded cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
  9. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

  • Use lean ground beef or substitute with ground turkey, chicken, or plant-based alternative.
  • Warm the cream cheese before mixing for easier blending.
  • Customize with your favorite vegetables, herbs, or spices.
