Description

A savory and aromatic stir fry featuring tender chicken, fresh vegetables, and a bold blend of garlic and black pepper, perfect for an easy weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine sliced chicken with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and half of the ground black pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and stir fry for 3-4 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through. Transfer chicken to a plate.
  3. Add garlic, onion, and red bell pepper to the skillet. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes until vegetables are slightly tender.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet. Add oyster sauce, remaining soy sauce, and remaining black pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Pour in the cornstarch mixture and stir fry everything for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot with steamed rice.
