- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine sliced chicken with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and half of the ground black pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and stir fry for 3-4 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through. Transfer chicken to a plate.
- Add garlic, onion, and red bell pepper to the skillet. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes until vegetables are slightly tender.
- Return the chicken to the skillet. Add oyster sauce, remaining soy sauce, and remaining black pepper. Stir to combine.
- Pour in the cornstarch mixture and stir fry everything for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot with steamed rice.
