Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, combine almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, stirring until fully combined.
- Fold in the chopped figs and dates gently with a spatula.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Sprinkle sliced almonds evenly over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
