- Paprika: 1 teaspoon
- Garlic Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Salt and Pepper: to taste
- Butter: 2 tablespoons
- Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
- Heavy Cream: 1 cup
- Parmesan Cheese: ½ cup grated
- Dijon Mustard: 1 teaspoon (optional)
- Fresh Thyme Leaves: for garnish
- Potatoes: 2 lbs, peeled and cubed
- Milk: ½ cup warm

- Cook Shrimp: Toss shrimp with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Set aside.
- Make Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Dijon mustard until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Assemble Dish: Spoon mashed potatoes onto plates. Top with cooked shrimp and generously pour the garlic cream sauce over everything. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves.
Notes
- For a dairy-free version, use plant-based butter, coconut cream or oat milk instead of heavy cream, and nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor.
- Swap mashed potatoes for cauliflower mash for a low-carb option.
- This recipe works well with scallops, chicken, or tofu.
- Add crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Serve with a crisp white wine like Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay.
- Pairs well with sautéed spinach, roasted asparagus, or a fresh salad.
