Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Pork Shoulder (Cut into large chunks)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly cracked preferred)
  • 1 cup Orange Juice (Freshly squeezed for best flavor)
  • 1/4 cup Lime Juice (Substitute with orange juice if needed)
  • 4 cloves Minced Garlic (Fresh preferred)
  • 1 large Chopped Onion (Yellow onion preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin (Can substitute with ground coriander)
  • 1 tablespoon Oregano (Mexican oregano preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder (Adjust according to spice tolerance)
  • 2 leaves Bay Leaves (Remove before serving)

Instructions

  1. Trim any excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks.
  2. Place the pork in the slow cooker and pour in the orange juice and lime juice.
  3. Add minced garlic, chopped onion, cumin, oregano, chili powder, salt, pepper, and bay leaves.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
  5. Once cooked, remove the pork and shred it into bite-sized pieces.
  6. Spread the shredded pork on a baking sheet and broil it for 5-8 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Drizzle some cooking liquid over the shredded pork before serving.
