- 3 pounds Pork Shoulder (Cut into large chunks)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly cracked preferred)
- 1 cup Orange Juice (Freshly squeezed for best flavor)
- 1/4 cup Lime Juice (Substitute with orange juice if needed)
- 4 cloves Minced Garlic (Fresh preferred)
- 1 large Chopped Onion (Yellow onion preferred)
- 1 tablespoon Cumin (Can substitute with ground coriander)
- 1 tablespoon Oregano (Mexican oregano preferred)
- 1 tablespoon Chili Powder (Adjust according to spice tolerance)
- 2 leaves Bay Leaves (Remove before serving)
Instructions
- Trim any excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks.
- Place the pork in the slow cooker and pour in the orange juice and lime juice.
- Add minced garlic, chopped onion, cumin, oregano, chili powder, salt, pepper, and bay leaves.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
- Once cooked, remove the pork and shred it into bite-sized pieces.
- Spread the shredded pork on a baking sheet and broil it for 5-8 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle some cooking liquid over the shredded pork before serving.
