Description
Caramelized Onion & Gruyère Stuffed Bread Wreath is a golden, pull-apart bread filled with caramelized onions and melted Gruyère cheese. This festive wreath is perfect for any occasion.

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 ½ cups shredded Gruyère cheese
- 1 tsp thyme
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
- 1 tsp chopped rosemary
- Flaky salt for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit 10 minutes.
- Add butter, salt, and flour; knead into smooth dough. Let rise 1 hour.
- In a skillet, cook onions in oil and butter until golden and caramelized, 25–30 minutes. Add thyme, salt, and sugar.
- Roll dough into a rectangle, spread onions, sprinkle Gruyère, and roll tightly into a log.
- Slice the log lengthwise, twist, and form into a wreath shape. Place on parchment-lined sheet.
- Brush with butter, sprinkle rosemary and salt. Let rise 20 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush again with butter before serving warm.

- Serve warm for best flavor.
